Bart Lovers of the goofiness in the vein of They Might Be Giants or Cake are gonna dig this. This is easily my first pick when I wanna get stuff done with a silly soundtrack. I loved their last album, and I'm pretty much of the same opinion here. Going to play this non-stop in 2024, and I'm hoping to finally catch them live this year. Favorite track: Popular 2.

robbymorgan Only 22 days into the year, and already the AOTY is going to be hard to beat. Such catchy jams, with fun, satirical lyrics, and this sense of... fun. It's playful, but there's so much more to it than that. Favorite track: Popular 2.

The Fringe 02:36
Me and Panic woke up together This is not one night, no it is forever I will make breakfast (avocado toast) You'll be father, son and the holy freaking ghost I was just awarded my advanced degree Now I'm in a band making musique concrète Dishwasher tumbles dry a Pringles can Sounds about as good no matter where you stand Success is cringe! Success is cringe! I wanna be on the fringe I wanna be on the fringe I wanna be on the fringe I wanna be on the fringe Me and Panic wearing really big shirts Looking for others wearing really big shirts Carving massive nudes out of cold mayonnaise Guess there's no accounting for taste ... Opening night at my gallery show, "A Personal History of My Runny Nose" A towering achievement in aesthetic design The critics don't like it, they are here for the wine Success is cringe! Success is cringe! I wanna be on the fringe I wanna be on the fringe I wanna be on the fringe I wanna be on the fringe I want to be on the fringe F-R-I-N-G, the fringe F-R-I-N-G, the fringe I want to be on the fringe F-R-I-N-G, the fringe F-R-I-N-G, the fringe

Subject verb I want to be disturbed I just perturbed the pigeons now the pigeons are perturbed Lately I'm rustling the blinds I got a lust for life, a life that is inside Free shoes Free Whoppers and Cokes I see someone normal and I make a mental note "Hey buddy, this is private property! This is private property! This is private property!" But you're never ever gonna be alone, here in your community neighborhood home I just want to be popular to watch In the movie you put on from the camera on your porch Your across the street neighbor walks his dog on TV The future is now, unfortunately And if I'm never ever gonna be alone, here in my community neighborhood home Then I wanna be popular to watch in the movie you put on from the camera on your porch Subject line: What's a lawn chair like? Do you ever sit outside getting 69 bug bites? Ask away, is it punk to complain? The salad's mostly iceberg when it should be romaine I fly my drone high above your home I see someone normal and I feel less alone "Hey buddy, this is private property! This is private property! This is private property!" But you're never ever gonna be alone, here in your community neighborhood home I just want to be popular to watch In the movie you put on from the camera on your porch Your across the street neighbor pulling weeds on TV The future is now, unfortunately And if I'm never ever gonna be alone, here in my community neighborhood home Then I wanna be popular to watch in the movie you put on from the camera on your porch But you're never ever gonna be alone, here in your community neighborhood home I just want to be popular to watch In the movie you put on from the camera on your porch Your across the street neighbor watches you on TV The future is now, unfortunately And if I'm never ever gonna be alone, here in my community neighborhood home Then I wanna be popular to watch in the movie you put on from the camera on your porch Woo

I love Mess Mess loves me Me and Mess are trying on contemporary jeans Mess is an authority on current events And we are not that jealous of our former college friends Whose careers are going great And their bands are blowing up And their coffee overfloweth from their thrifted coffee mug We are radically transparent as transparent can be We are reading you the screenplay of our new wave masterpiece Thrifting from the sand Thrifting from the bank Dispassionately vaping while I water the plants I am continuing to do my thing I am continuing to do my thing I am continuing to do my thing I am continuing to do my thing I love Mess Mess loves me Me and Mess are rooting on the trophy winning teams We are leaving fingerprints wherever we go We are running over road signs on the side of the road People are yelling “Hey I’m walking here!” But if you steal a cop car you will never get pulled over And Jeff Bezos put a hit out Bought insurance on our lives And he’ll probably use the profits to build server farms for ICE Waxing in Atlanta Waning in Wisconsin Vaping in the parking lot with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson I am continuing to do my thing I am continuing to do my thing I am continuing to do my thing I am continuing to do my thing

Grad School 04:49
Hey man Is today your real birthday? In the city where you were born Have they designated today your day? Hey man Everybody wants to ruin the world Every mom is calling up just to talk I read the news and it was bad, in my opinion We found your social security on the dark web We found your social security on the dark web We found your social security on the dark web And we used to open your email And your email said Everybody looks familiar I’m waking up again and again I threw chum in the ocean and the chum swam back The currents are recurrent events Everybody’s here for the first time Reducing their emissions with death Because they heard it in a podcast and it changed their minds The currents are recurrent events They are recurrent events Shift change You are going from the cradle to grave Then heading back from the tomb to the womb From grade school to grad school Shift change From Easy Mac to Big Mac From anecdote to irrelevant quote To laughing your ass off at your own joke! We found your social security on the dark web We found your social security on the dark web We found your social security on the dark web And we used to open your email And your email said Everybody looks familiar I’m waking up again and again I threw chum in the ocean and the chum swam back The currents are recurrent events Everybody’s here for the first time Reducing their emissions with death Because they heard it in a podcast and it changed their minds The currents are recurrent events They are recurrent events

Your heart is your largest muscle Your heart respects no authority Your tongue is your largest muscle You talked so much you had to get corrective surgery Your eyes are your largest muscle They can recognize me when I’m wearing a hat Your ass is your largest muscle Why don’t you sit down a while and think about that The way you take it there I think it’s cool. I really do The way you take it there I think it’s cool. I really do This life is not a special gift But you can make the most of it And your politics were good but you got weary You tried solving all the world’s problems with your unifying theory You got your heart in your hands, but your hands are in trouble Because your heart your heart your heart your heart your heart your heart your heart’s your largest muscle Aaaaaaah Aaaaaaah Your brain is your largest muscle Everything on the left is also on the right Your mind is so big and supple And you can turn that thing around at any point Your thoughts are a handsy schoolboy Who is working part time at a Target store You and I have so much in common but Why don’t you sit down a while and think a little more The way you take it there I think it’s cool. I really do The way you take it there I think it’s cool. I really do This life is not a special gift But you can make the most of it And your politics were good but you got weary You tried solving all the world’s problems with your unifying theory You got your heart on your mind, but your mind is in trouble Because your heart your heart your heart your heart your heart your heart your heart’s your largest muscle Aaaaaaah Aaaaaaah

Here comes a sermon on forgiveness Here comes another hill for you to climb You’re a special guy, you have lots of talents You should wear a seatbelt, it could save your life We hum through our days of constant striving And everybody seems to hum in time The lies come for free The truth’s behind a pay wall For a dollar ninety nine Every time I try I lose track I don’t text back And they say don’t stop believing But it’s just too late for that I think it’s just too late for that Everyone cool will die Everyone weird will also die What lives on is the destruction Caused by market economics Being unique does not fit neatly into the grid of corporate needs Still I work like a dog doing a dog’s day’s work And who could blame me? I live in a society Every time I try I lose track I don’t text back And they say don’t stop believing But it’s just too late for that I think it’s just too late for that

Plastic 03:10
I can only do one normal thing a day Order from the menu $20 buffet I am people pleasing and I follow the rules I am bending over backwards, does it make me look cool? Who modeled the behavior in which I engaged A permission structure built on what you took and what you gave Say RIP to everyone who died Everything is gray now, do you like it? You know I only want it if you want it Whatever you need now, we can make it Out of plastic Everything’s in place now, do you like it? No matter what you don’t like, we can move it I think we can make it We can make it Out of plastic Maybe I should call and apologize It isn’t what you ordered, but it’s battered and fried Hold on just a second while I transfer you A Zero and a Three, big gold balloons Who modeled the behavior in which you engaged A permission structure built on what I took and what I gave Singin’ RIP to everyone who died Everything is gray now, do you like it? You know I only want it if you want it Whatever you need now, we can make it Out of plastic Everything’s in place now, do you like it? No matter what you don’t like, we can move it I think we can make it We can make it Out of plastic Is there recycling? It's sorted Everything is gray now, do you like it? You know I only want it if you want it Whatever you need now, we can make it Out of plastic Everything’s in place now, do you like it? No matter what you don’t like, we can move it I think we can make it We can make it I think we can make it We can make it I think we can make it We can make it out of plastic
